Giving Back: Heat Transfer Warehouse Volunteers at North Dakota Food Bank
Heat Transfer Warehouse volunteers time at the Great Plains Food Bank (GPFB) in Fargo, North Dakota.
Fargo, North Dakota-based Heat Transfer Warehouse, a distributor of heat transfer materials, volunteers its time at the Great Plains Food Bank (GPFB) in its hometown of Fargo. The company was there most recently in late August.
A set of 18 team members from the company’s headquarters traveled to the GPFB to aid the organization in multiple projects. The food bank runs a backpack program which provides school students with food to cover meals they may otherwise not have over the weekends and operates with the goal of eventually having a “hunger-free North Dakota and western Minnesota.” During the team’s visit, Heat Transfer Warehouse employees spent roughly two hours shucking ears of corn and bagging them for future deliveries.
“(The GPFB) is a great organization that can accommodate our large group of team members,” says Brooke Hestdalen, marketing coordinator at Heat Transfer Warehouse. “They always are open to having volunteers and our team members seem to enjoy going every time.”
The effort marks the third time the company has volunteered at the GPFB. In addition to the Fargo branch, Heat Transfer Warehouse organizes various charity and volunteer projects at its other locations throughout the country.
