Gilman, Connecticut-based foam board manufacturer The Gilman Brothers Co. says that its latest plant upgrades have set the company on a course to have a record-breaking 2019.

Improvements have been made in various departments, the company says. In terms of the manufacturing plant, upgrades continue, including an increased emphasis on eliminating waste. The company says it has long been a proponent of green manufacturing, and by the end of the year it will have the initial stages in place to begin running a portion of the plant on solar power.

The company notes that it has always put a heavy emphasis on customer service, and at the center of that is its sales department, which also underwent a facelift earlier this year.

“A complete revamp of our sales department provided improved space efficiencies, inspirational designs to encourage and empower our team, a new strategizing space that among other changes embodies our core belief that anything is possible at Gilman,” says Ari Luna, business development manager who oversaw the reorganization of the sales department. “Our team is never afraid to roll up their sleeves and put in the work-beyond proud to be a part of such accomplishments.”
