General Pointers for Cutting Heat-Applied Material with a Laser
Get the most out of your laser cutter.
Laser cutters are a big investment for businesses so getting the most out of them is important. Using a laser cutter for heat-applied material is a great way to maximize the investment.
It’s important to first make sure the material you’re cutting is laser safe, more specifically make sure it’s PVC-free. It’s also important to make sure your settings are correct – cutting vinyl requires less power than engraving glass, for example. Many laser cutters come loaded with cutting specs for specific laser-compatible materials.
