Fujifilm In-House Publication Wins GLGA Award
The Great Lakes Graphics Association annually recognizes outstanding work in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin with its Graphic Excellence Awards.
Hanover Park, Illinois-based Fujifilm North America, a division of the global supplier of drop-on-demand inkjet printheads for industrial applications, was a winner at the recent Great Lakes Graphics Association‘s annual Graphic Excellence Awards competition.
The annual awards recognize companies through Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin for superb craftsmanship in the design, creation and production of top-quality printed material they produce for their customers. Fujifilm won for its print illustrated, a quarterly in-house magazine put out by the company that covers a variety of topics in the digital and offset printing industries from the company’s perspective.
The magazine was given the ‘Award of Excellence’ in a magazine series from the GLGA.
A panel of out-of-state judges with extensive experience in printing and print production were brought in examine all entries, with each entry judged on its own merit in a category with similar printed pieces. Judging criteria included registration, crossovers, clarity and neatness, sharpness of halftones and line drawings, richness and tonal qualities of color, paper and ink selection, ink coverage, difficulty of printing, effective contrast or softness, finishing, bindery and overall visual impact.
