Featured Project: Watchfire Outfits Ohio’s Princeton High School with New Scoreboard
Watchfire's new screen is so user-friendly that students at the high school will be trained to run it during games.
Danville, Illinois-based LED sign maker Watchfire Signs has sold a state-of-the-art virtual scoreboard to the Cincinatti area’s Princeton High School.
Located in Sharonville, Ohio, Princeton High School opened this fall’s high school football season in a newly renovated stadium that features new bleachers and the new Watchfire scoreboard.
Installed by Griffin Sports LLC, the scoreboard is a 16 millimeter pro-team quality display that measures 17′ x 32′. It replaces an old combination fixed-digit board and video display, and can be converted for use for multiple sports, not just football.
Using Watchfire’s new Ignite Sports software to power the scoreboard, display operators can divide the scoreboard content into zones, which gives them ability to display one large scoreboard or a combination of graphics, videos and sponsors’ messages. The software makes it easy to create, manage and deliver game-time content, including scores, statistics, animations, live video, instant replays and advertising.
The school says that students in some art classes soon will be involved in creating content for the board, and the school plans to train students on how to program and run the display.
