Featured Project: Formetco Installs Three-Sided Billboard at Atlanta Events Center
The three-sided display is located in one of the most visible parts of Atlanta, right along Interstate 285 and across from the Atlanta Braves' park.
Duluth, Georgia-based Formetco Inc., a maker of LED billboards, electronic screens, billboards and video displays, recently installed what it calls one of the largest and most unique billboards in Georgia, at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta.
The three-panel, 100′-plus billboard was put in place before the events center’s 25th anniversary celebration next year. The billboard is in a highly visible area along Interstate 285, right across from SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves.
The board includes two 25′ x 48′ opposing panels, joined by a 25′ x 9 ½’ section, to complete a continuous three-sided display that spans more than 100 feet.
“We are honored that we were chosen for this unique build. It’s an iconic sign for the city of Atlanta directly across from SunTrust Park,” says Britt McConnell of Formetco. “Working with Cobb Galleria Centre has been as easy as working with family. They have made the process easy.”
“As the economic driver of Cobb County’s hospitality industry, it is important that we have an iconic state-of-the-art digital marquee on our campus. The timing of this project will coincide nicely with the celebration of the Cobb Galleria Centre’s 25th anniversary in 2019,” says Michele Swann, general manager and CEO of the Centre. “The Formetco team has been an outstanding partner during the entire process and we look forward to the opportunity to work with them in the years ahead.”
For this project, Formetco teamed with DeNyse, another Atlanta-based company that it has worked with before.
