Featured Project: Formetco Installs New LED Scoreboard for Kentucky Baseball Team
Sporting venues are a prime outlet for Formetco's digital billboards.
Duluth, Georgia-based Formetco Inc., a maker of LED billboards, electronic screens, billboards and video displays, announces that when the Bowling Green Hot Rods minor league baseball team begins its new season this April, fans will be treated to two new LED video scoreboards the company will have installed.
The main LED video scoreboard is approximately 35′ x 56′ and the outfield LED video scoreboard is approximately 6’3″ tall x 68′. Both scoreboards use Formetco’s new 13.3 millimeter TRUE pixel technology. The boards can be broken down into zones to provide scoring, live video, advertising, player statistics and fan-interaction graphics.
“Formetco Sports is excited to partner with the Hot Rods on its scoring and video system upgrades for the stadium,” says Blake Bearden, Formetco Sports sales manager. “The FTX 13.3 technology will provide a new level of screen clarity for fans, and our integrated control systems and software will take the fan experience to the next level with player stats from MiLB and new graphics that will wow the crowds.”
Eric Leach, chief operations officer and general manager of the team, says he and his team traveled to the Formetco facility in Georgia to be given a presentation on scoreboards the company has previously installed elsewhere.
