Featured Project: Channel Letters Filled with Moss

Ottawa, Canada-based Graphix2K recently designed, fabricated, and installed this moss-filled channel letter project for RAW Pulp + Grind, a local cold-pressed juice bar.

Brady Schultz, a graphic designer at Graphix2K, tells GRAPHICS PRO, “The initial idea for this project was devised by the client themselves. Our friends at RAW Pulp + Grind like to keep their locations vibrant with lots of plants, and this was an intriguing and unique way to display their slogan while adding to the greenery.”

The letters for this project were produced on a standard channel letter bending machine. The letters were then fixed to the wall and filled with moss.

When asked if this type of signage is something the industry should plan to see more of, Schultz says, “Moving forward, we expect to see an influx of this type of signage in the wild. Businesses are always looking for a way to stand out, and we feel that using genuine natural elements in signage is a creative way to do this.”
