Featured Project: ANC’s Technology Boosts Cleveland Cavaliers’ Fan Experience
Purchase, New York-based ANC, a designer, integrator, operator and creator of content for video display systems for stadiums, arenas and other entertainment facilities, has outfitted Cleveland’s Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse with the first-of-its-kind “Power Portal” entryway as part of the facility’s $185 million transformation project.
Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse is home to the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers.
ANC’s Power Portal combines striking visuals and Microsoft‘s Soundscape technology across 2,200 square feet of 2.6-mm LED panels. The fully immersive audio-visual experience immediately engages fans upon entry and continues as they begin navigating the arena. This compelling design feature expands upon a 10-year partnership between ANC and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, the company says.
“We challenged ANC to re-imagine the fan experience and help us deliver stunning, new showcase elements as part of the transformation project,” says Mike Conley, Cleveland Cavaliers and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse senior vice president and chief information officer. “They delivered in a big and unique way. The outcome has been spectacular and is a reflection of our long-standing partnership and mutual desire to push the boundaries of fan engagement and impact to another level.”
Along with the Power Portal, ANC also installed “The Canyon,” which welcomes fans outside into the facility with stunning video and graphics across top and bottom displays; and “The Totem,” a double-sided outdoor video board located near another entrance that features top, middle and lower displays.
ANC also put in a new courtside display system including one center-courtside display, two team bench displays, and four stanchion displays.
“ANC prides itself on developing compelling experiences to engage audiences in new and memorable ways,” says George Linardos, CEO of ANC. “Our partnership with Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse continues to support their electrifying sports and entertainment environment by streamlining design, technology and content to take the fan experience to new heights.”
