Featured Project: A Touch-Up of History

The SignSmith in Saskatoon,  Saskatchewan, hand-painted this steam roller for a local museum.

This featured project comes to us from scenic Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, a city of about a quarter-million in west-central Canada that has been home to The SignSmith since 1983. Aside from all types of signage, including custom neon signs, the shop also sells promotional products and even custom direct-to-garment T-shirts. They call themselves “Saskatoon’s One True Custom Sign Shop,” and this was certainly a custom, one-of-a-kind project. Founder Dave Smith hand-painted this antique steam roller-essentially a steam-powered road grader-for the Western Development Museum in Saskatoon.
