EtchMaster/Professional Glass Consultants Launches New Website

EtchMaster/Professional Glass Consultants launched a new website that is less cumbersome, loads faster, and is easier to navigate.

In January, EtchMaster/Professional Glass Consultants launched a new website that is less cumbersome, loads faster, and is easier to navigate. According to Ruth Dobbins, managing owner of EtchMaster/Professional Glass Consultants, the old site called for a revamp due to the fact that it was created in an old format no longer supported by Google.

“It seemed like a daunting project, but as we found out, our host also had to change its system,” Dobbins explains. “The project was somewhat easier than we thought.”

The new site features easier navigation, dropdown lists, and choices to click on without having to go to different windows. It’s also Google and mobile app supported. The new site is easier for the EtchMaster team to maintain. “We have learned some coding, which is still helpful, but by and large it is much easier to make changes, thus it will be easier to add new items and remove discontinued items,” states Dobbins.

She adds that they also eliminated some of the long text created by former co-owner Norm, Ruth Dobbins’ husband, who passed away a number of years ago. “We find that most current customers do not have the patience to read through long paragraphs, even though they provide a lot of valuable information,” Ruth elaborates.

Dobbins’ other site to display finished work, www.dobbinsstudios.com, will be overhauled next.
