EPMS Becomes the First Print-Oriented MIS to Integrate with PrintReleaf

PrintReleaf allows interested companies and organizations to offset the effects of printing on paper by literally planting trees around the world.

printreleaf_275x275Middleboro, Massachusetts-based EPMS, which produces management information systems (MIS) geared toward the printing industry, announces that it is first print MIS provider to integrate with Denver-based PrintReleaf, a software company that connects commercial printers with global reforestation projects.

EPMS says the PrintReleaf integration will be released later this year. Once released, commercial printers that run on EPMS can automate and scale PrintReleaf and provide their customers the opportunity to tap into PrintReleaf’s business model, which allows them to automatically offset the paper consumption associated with each print job by planting trees-equivalent to the paper used in each print -at certified reforestation sites around the world.

Organizations and companies that partner with PrintReleaf can choose from among seven reforestation projects going on around the globe: in Brazil, the Dominican Republic, India, Ireland, Madagascar, Mexico, and the United States. The company’s patented technology not only tracks paper consumption, but also monitors its reforestation partners to ensure fulfillment.
