OVERLAND PARK, Kan.-Nicole Parker, vice president at DRI DUCK, joins a cast of competitors for an upcoming Amazon Prime Series entitled The Social Movement. The show tasks guests with solving socio-economic issues through teamwork.

Featuring a set of 40 competitors including thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors, the series challenges its teams to tackle complicated issues such as weather-related events, access to affordable healthcare, wage inequality, and education gaps. Each team pairs with a not-for-profit organization to develop a business strategy, which DRI DUCK says will “solve, not just help, the issue(s).” Filming begins in Montreal in July 2019, and the six-part series airs in 2020.

“I’m excited to collaborate with so many talented people with diverse backgrounds in this challenge,” states Parker. “Through this creative and potentially world-changing endeavor, I’m hopeful that we’ll bring home the win for the good of humanity.”

Parker serves under team leader and CMO of Operation Barbeque Relief (OBR), David Marks. Based in Kansas City, OBR travels to disaster areas to feed first responders, displaced citizens, and others affected by major weather events.

“With a shared home base of Kansas City and the same core values of honesty and hard work, DRI DUCK’s partnership with OBR is a natural fit,” adds Parker. “Through this experience, I look forward to deepening our relationship with OBR by serving alongside David Marks, whom I admire and respect for his business acumen and compassion for others.”
