ATLANTA-Boxercraft launches its annual Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer Scholarship. The recipient receives $3,000.

The company says it launched the program after it directly impacted the staff.

“This scholarship was created in 2017 to honor the memory of Tod Rastello, former vice president of sales, who passed away in 2016 following a long and courageous fight against the disease,” Boxercraft says. “Our goal is to continue to support his family, as well as other families across the country, that have been affected by pancreatic cancer.”

Through the initiative, the company says it hopes to raise awareness and attention to those fighting the disease and ease the financial burden of college for affected families. Qualifying candidates submit a 500-1,000-word essay to enter. The deadline for submissions is July 15.
