LOS ANGELES-BELLA+CANVAS launches an online education course entitled Fashion Apparel Masterclass (FAM). With the course, the company says it hopes to “address challenges specific to the promotional products industry and provide solutions that will give members the tools to sell more premium apparel and increase their margins and sales.”

“At all the industry events we were attending, people were talking about the same core issues affecting the promotional products industry,” states Chris Blakeslee, executive vice president of BELLA+CANVAS. “As the pioneers of this premium category, we not only see where the industry is headed, but we are actually in a position where we can help provide tools and education for sellers who don’t want to be left behind.”

Blakeslee points to increased commoditization, channel disruption, and evolving purchasing habits as factors affecting a shift towards higher-quality garments.

To develop the educational course, the company partnered with online learning and technology specialists to create the six-hour program. The course features 12 interactive video lessons, downloadable resources, a community hub, and quizzes.

“We wanted to educate, of course, but it was also mission-critical that the content was both super interesting and engaging,” says Summer Barry, marketing and creative director. “Based on the feedback we’ve gotten so far, members have been blown away!”

Participants receive points for completing class lessons which can be redeemed for BELLA+CANVAS products. The company says it also plans to hold events centered around the course.
