Bantex Media Used for Downtown Salisbury, Maryland, Banners

Banners are a staple in the signage world because of their durability and their flexibility, and this community chose Bantex's products.

Emigsville, Pennsylvania-based Bantex Digital Media, a division of Herculite that makes products for digital inkjet printing of vinyl banners and signs, announces that its materials were chosen by the community of Salisbury, Maryland, to assist in a marketing effort to promote the city’s downtown.

“Our goal in the downtown revitalization is to attract more people to visit this part of our community and to increase their enjoyment of all that downtown has to offer,” says Mike Zimmerman, project engineer with the Salisbury Department of Infrastructure and Development. “Communications is supporting our revitalization effort.”

Outdoor street and pole banners are an essential element in that revitalization program, the city says, helping create a brand image for the downtown while also assisting with way-finding. Along with banners pointing out public parking locations, the street banners contain key words and phrases such as “Craft Brews,” “Dining” and “History”-all of which play up the downtown’s image.

The colorful banners are made with Bantex Supreme 18-ounce two-sided material.

“The banners have been working well for us, providing colorful elements, supporting an enhanced brand image for downtown and adding to our communications efforts,” Zimmerman says. “We have specified Bantex material for some of our recent banner purchases because of its durability and bright colors. I wasn’t familiar with banner materials at first, but did some online research which helped in our deciding to specify Bantex.”

Salisbury, Maryland, is a community of 30,000 that sits alongside the Chesapeake Bay. Its history dates back to the colonial era.
