Avery Dennison Named to Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies List
This is the second year that Barron's has produced this list, and Avery Dennison has been named to it both times.
Mentor, Ohio-based graphics films manufacturer Avery Dennison is recognized on financial publication Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies List for 2019.
The newspaper assesses the 1,000 largest publicly held U.S. companies and judges them on 300 sustainability performance indicators. These include business ethics and product safety, greenhouse gas emissions, human rights, workplace diversity, labor relations and corporate governance.
“We are honored to be recognized by Barron’s for the second year,” says Georges Gravanis, president of Avery Dennison’s Label and Graphic Materials division. “Sustainability is at the center of everything we do, and our employees are addressing the challenge from every angle. This honor is a testament to their passion and commitment.”
Barron’s developed the list last year in collaboration with Calvert Research and Management.
“We continue to make solid progress toward our 2025 sustainability goals, with increased urgency to address plastic recyclability and industry waste, while staying very close to our industry partners and our communities,” says Gravanis.
