A&E Exclusive: Masteretch Services Celebrates 35-Year Anniversary by Launching New Website

Masteretch Services, a manufacturer of chemical etching equipment based in Corby, UK, launched a new website in time with the company’s 35-year anniversary.
“It seemed like the ideal time to makeover our website, to take stock, and celebrate our achievements so far and build a solid online foundation for the future,” says Liam Dullaghan Jr., vice president of sales at Masteretch Services.
The company was founded in 1983 by Liam Dullaghan Sr., who remains the co-owner alongside his eldest son Brian. For the first decade, the company produced etching equipment almost exclusively for the electronics industry. Liam explains that, with the advent of the internet, much of that work moved to the far east. “It was around this time we began to focus more on the sign, labels, and nameplates industry, which is what we are best known for now,” Liam adds. Other markets it serves are the printing industry and chemical milling industry.
The family-run business built the new website in-house, which allows the team to update the site more easily. Liam states, “We opted for a simple, streamlined layout taking design inspiration from our Masteretch logo.”
The new site features a Projects section that gives details of recent projects and installations. It covers everything from the design and building stage, to installation and on-site training. There is also a Gallery section to showcase customers’ work. Masteretch eventually plans to add how-to videos to show different methods of chemical etching.
“Our aim is the keep the site fresh, adding new content continually, and adding value for visitors,” Liam elaborates. “Customers can expect to find information on our full range of chemical etching equipment and get a feel also for our ability to design and build custom one-off equipment.”
Masteretch has several projects coming up in the later part of 2019, which include installing a wide-format etch line in Chicago for architectural signage to a high-precision system in Bangkok for producing SMT stencils. According to Liam, the company will also continue to develop its Laser2etch range, opening up the benefits of chemical etching to laser engraving companies.
