Why are stamps and marking devices a viable product to add to an awards shop?

Production of stamps and marking devices fits nicely into the awards retailer’s operation because the cost of entry is low, and the profit margins are nice. A small tabletop stamp-making machine and package of materials can be purchased for less than a thousand dollars. Margin is generally three times the cost, so a stamp that costs $8 to produce usually retails for $24 to $30.
