Why are camera recognition systems a valuable improvement for laser users?

Camera recognition technology like eView makes cutting printed graphics incredibly easy and produces exceptionally precise results from anywhere on the table. There’s no need to line up your graphics to the top-left corner of the machine, or even to align it to the x- and y-axes.  Users simply add registration marks to their graphic, and the cameras detect exactly where to cut. After you’ve placed the graphics on the table, you can see in real-time on your laser software, e.g. Epilog’s Job Manager, a photo representation of the laser table with the printed graphic and its true position on the table. From there, operators click the registration marks they want to use, and the camera software does the rest.

For example, if you have keychains printed in bright colors on acrylic and need a way to be able to align the different printed sheets on the laser, camera recognition technology is a perfect solution for those jobs. You could cut hundreds of keychains at a time and know each time that the sheet was perfectly positioned.
