Which designs/graphics lend themselves the best to metal substrates?

This depends upon the specific application. For example, when it comes to engraving, vector graphics are required. Either vector graphics or high-contrast bit map can be used for photo impact printing. For dye-sublimation and UV-LED printing, users have the option of using vector or any other high-resolution graphics.

We are seeing our customers print all type of graphics and images onto metal – some with white ink, others without white. In many cases, gloss is incorporated as an added finish. Some customers utilize the metal as the white point and add contrast through layers of CMYK print. The end results can be quite artistic.
