When should I use cover paper for my photoresist stencils?

Cover paper is used to protect photoresist stencils from elements like dust and from becoming too dry for later use. Once the photomask is washed and dried, you can apply the glossy side of cover paper to the sticky side of your photomask. The cover paper allows you to store or trim your masks into individual stencils for a production-type set up.

Cover paper is widely used in production facilities, which allows finished photoresist film to be produced in advance, enhancing workflow and organization for demanding production levels.
