A typical plastic found in the average engraving shop is the traditional plastic sheet which has a micro-thin colored cap laminated to a core. This type of plastic is available in a multitude of color combinations and finishes. These types of plastics can be used for name badges, signage, and a wide variety of other uses.
Over the years, these plastics have become even more laser friendly. While the traditional ABS-based (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) plastic is still available, manufacturers have modified their plastic formulation to better suit today’s lasers.
