What can I do to avoid computer problems during the sublimation process?

When you have an order, large or small, the last thing you want to happen is for your computer to malfunction. The good news is, there are ways to avoid certain problems that may come up. Here is what you should avoid:

1. Neglecting to back-up your computer. I recommend that you backup your files to an external USB hard drive every month. Ideally, I suggest rotating six USB drives and storing them offsite for safety. A cloud backup solution such as Carbonite is also a great option.

2. Skimping on RAM. One of the best ways to speed up your computer is with more RAM… max it out! RAM is inexpensive and extends a computer’s usable life.

3. Forgoing the use of a UPS. Connect your computer and printer to an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to deal with short power outages and small surges. I recommend APC brand because you can replace a unit’s battery cartridge when needed.
