Open bed (frame) systems offer the advantage of accommodating larger workpieces as well as accessories, such as multi-item disk rotaries and other automation devices. Fully enclosed models do not typically allow for this. However, eye safety is always a concern with using an open frame fiber laser. Safety glasses must be worn at all times.
