I would say there are two untapped markets for laser engraving, and they are diverse. One is metal marking for both industrial and decorative applications, and the other is paper cutting.
We have also seen a huge trend with laser engraving retailers adding UV-LED inkjet printing. Many of the materials used for laser engraving can be printed on in full-color using UV inkjet printers. Another common application is printing on a sheet of plastic or acrylic with the UV inkjet printer and cutting the products out using the laser. UV printing really opens the markets and products a laser engraving retailer can produce.
