Handle with Care: Providing Garment Care Instructions

Here's a quick word on why attaching care instructions to each garment you produce is beneficial.

A common and inexpensive way to get your company name out there is to add an easily removable sticker to each item you embroider. The sticker can include garment care instructions above your company name and contact information.

Garment care instructions can be generic enough to apply to nearly all products and short enough to fit everything you want your end user to know. Consider something like: “CARE INSTRUCTIONS: For best results, turn inside out before washing. Do not over dry.” Below that in a smaller font, list your company name, city,  website, and phone number. You can find these stickers in various shapes and sizes at your local printer. They feature a low-tack adhesive to peel off garments easily. The pros of using stickers include low cost and quick application. In all my years in this industry, I have yet to hear a customer complain about these stickers on the products. The con is that they are thrown away almost immediately by the majority of the people that see them.

If you can increase your visibility by letting all the people that wear or use the products you decorated know about your business, you are more likely to gain new customers.
