How can I build relationships with other small businesses in the awards industry?

By making connections with other small businesses, you have the ability to call on your new friends and discuss business. Talking to other awards shops that have a vast array of experience not only gave me insight on how similar businesses function, but also provided me with some fantastic tips and tricks.

The best way to connect with other small businesses is to attend a trade show. Often these types of events have social functions, and these can be great to network with others within your industry. I have found that meeting other shop owners is the best during educational seminars.

I found that a perfect time to meet others is prior to the seminar where people are just sitting and waiting. It provides a great opportunity to introduce yourself and get to know your new neighbor. By introducing yourself to new people, you can establish connections to a new group of experienced individuals.
