Alphabroder Hit by Malware Attack
The company says the attack was to its order processing and shipping platform.
TREVOSE, Pa.-Alphabroder, a supplier of imprintable apparel and accessories, announces via its social media channels that it was a victim to a malware incident on Monday, Oct. 14. The company says the attack was to its order processing and shipping platform.
As of now, there is no evidence that U.S. customer data or private account information was compromised. “We continue to work with an expert forensics company and our cyber team to remedy the situation and are optimistic based on the progress we are making,” says the company.
The alphabroder website has full functionality, and the company is back to taking orders via all channels-alphabroder.com, by phone, and email. The company is shipping orders through UPS, On Trac, and LTL Trucks. It is not able to ship through FedEx or the United States Postal Service (USPS) but is working on getting those options back online. Orders placed with UPS before the attack did ship but may experience a one-day delay due to communication difficulties. Alphabroder plans to follow-up on the status of orders placed with USPS or FedEx shipping.
“The alphabroder team would like to thank you all for your support and understanding during this time. Although we suffered a serious attack, we continued to focus on yours and our business and have shipped more than 66,500 orders over the last two days. We look forward to being back to 100% as soon as possible.” says the company via its latest Facebook update on Oct. 16.
For Canadian customers, orders can be made through alphabroder.ca, by phone, and email. It’s shipping through UPS Canada, Western Canada/Apex, Dicom, Canpar, Midland, and Same Day Right Away. Canada Post, FedEx, Purolator or DHL are not available at this time. Pick-up is also available. Orders placed via email over the last two days are in the queue and processing.

Alphabroder has completely recovered from the malware attack to its processing and shipping platform. There is still no evidence of customer data or private account information being breached.
As of Oct. 17, all order and shipping methods are available. There is currently a backlog on FedEx and USPS orders, but alphabroder plans to work through them over the next few days.
An update for Canadian customers is coming soon.
