Having the art board set up incorrectly, if not using center engraving, can cause the laser to misread what is sent and the handle may hit the laser header. When running one for the first time, it’s a good idea to do a test run at the same speed, but with no power. This will clear the laser head and allow you to see how the cup is going to turn or rotate in your laser. Making sure your artwork isn’t too close to the handle is a good idea as well.
Some laser rotary devices may need to be modified for the handle to rotate fully through the wheels, such as taking off a set of wheels on the driver side.
