Sublimation paper can only be used with substrates that are primarily white, or light in color, that are 100% polyester. These include apparel or products that have a polyester coating like mugs, plaques, puzzle blanks, phone cases, Dri-Fit shirts, T-shirts, caps, and more. That is unlike heat-transfer paper, which doesn’t require a coated surface. Additionally, heat-transfer paper for dark and light substrates is available. They can be used to transfer designs to 100% polyester, 100% cotton, and 50/50 blends.
