When sublimating onto slate, how can I keep the transfer from rippling?

Heat conductive silicone padding over the transfer paper will “push” the heat into uneven surfaces and result in uniform heating and pressure, and therefore, printing results. The rippling is a lack-of-pressure due to lack-of-flatness issue. Heat conductive padding, and modified settings to compensate for the padding, is the key.
