CO2 Laser Tips: Adjusting Settings Over Time
The tube lasts for years, but settings may need to be adjusted over time to accommodate different materials.
One important note is that a laser’s maximum power is reduced over time until your CO2 laser tube needs to be replaced. The tube lasts for years; however, you need to adjust your power and speed settings for each material as time goes on. Lasers come with built-in settings for many common materials. Tech support is always willing to assist you if you encounter a material not listed in your laser print driver. Be cautious of lasering non-industry standard materials as some may be toxic to you and your laser. Call tech support whenever in doubt.
