Accommodating for a Lower Budget: Glass Award Bases
Keep costs low with simple bases for glass awards
To accommodate for a lower budget glass award project, you can provide glass blanks that require bases. To keep these to reasonable prices, they first have to be simple geometric shapes like squares or rectangles.
Second, use inexpensive wood bases that cost less than glass bases and require almost no assembly – just insert the glass into the groove in the wood. If you use these to get the lowest cost to your customer, remember to use 1/4″ or 3/8″ glass. With nicely polished edges, either flat polished or beveled, these are still attractive to customers.
