Let’s think about our businesses for a minute. What if everything was still the same as it was five, 10, or even 20 years ago? What if we had not changed with the times? With the technological advances that we have had lately, there is a pretty good chance that our business would have become stale and competitors would have passed us by.
Reaching for things that are outside our comfort zones forces learning on all levels. We all know that for business, this is a good thing since the more things we learn, the better equipped we become to gain traction in today’s competitive world. Our personal lives should not be any different. By trying as many new things as we possibly can, we trigger all sorts of experiences that we might not have known about and open ourselves up to new ideas. This is an important part of both personal growth and balance. By creating greater balance in our lives, we become more productive.
