Agfa-Gevaert Announces New CEO
Pascal Juéry's background includes working in a variety of different types of businesses.
The parent company of wide-format printer manufacturer Agfa Graphics, Belgium-based Agfa-Gevaert,announces Pascal Juéry as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Christian Reinaudo, who will continue to support the company as a member of the board of directors.
The board decided to appoint Juéry after a rigorous selection process, the company says.
Juéry, 54 years old and from Paris, is a graduate of the renowned ESCP Business School. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the chemical and advanced material industries to his new post. Juéry started his career in finance and soon demonstrated his ability to lead various global businesses as well as hold key functional responsibilities. For the past 10 years, he was a member of the executive committee of the French paper company Rhodia and then Belgian chemical company Solvay, where he took an active part in the group portfolio and business transformation.
“We are happy to welcome Pascal Juéry as the new CEO at a decisive moment in the group’s transformation process,” says Klaus Röhrig, chairman of the board of directors for Agfa-Gevaert. “His previous experience in the executive management of an international company in the middle of a transformation journey will enable him to lead Agfa-Gevaert in its fast-changing markets.”
The Agfa-Gevaert Group consists of two companies: Agfa and Agfa HealthCare.
