Giving Back: California’s Sonoma Graphic Products Partners with Operation Ward 57
The company's efforts made for a brighter holiday season for some families located near their West Coast offices.
San Jose, California-based distribution company Sonoma Graphic Products says that it recently partnered with Seattle-based Operation Ward 57, which supports wounded, injured and ill service members, veterans and their caregivers.
The company says that each holiday season, Operation Ward 57 needs sponsors to assist veterans with Christmas or Hanukkah presents for their children, along with a grocery gift card for their holiday meals. Sonoma sponsored six families located in or around its office locations in Northern and Southern California, Oregon and Washington.
Sonoma says that each veteran was contacted to create personalized holiday wish lists for
their children, ranging in ages from 2 to 21. With lists in hand, its employees took the time and care to shop, wrap and deliver these gifts to the deserving families.
“Our concerted efforts as a company team helped a total of 32 individuals (including 12 adults and 20 children) with holiday presents and food to celebrate this season of giving without any stress or worries,” the company says. “More importantly, our military veterans have given so much for the U.S.A., and this is just one way to share our gratitude, kindness and resources with them.
“We hope this simple act of generosity will inspire you to help families in your community too.”
