Ricoh Joins the Responsible Business Alliance
The Responsible Business Alliance is a global coalition dedicated to corporate social responsibility in global supply chains.
Tokyo-based Ricoh, a manufacturer of commercial inkjet printheads, large-format printers and office imaging equipment, announces that it has joined the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), a Virginia-based global coalition dedicated to corporate social responsibility (CSR) in global supply chains.
The RBA is a nonprofit coalition that supports the rights and wellbeing of workers and communities affected by the global supply chain. The coalition consists of global member companies in a wide range of industries, such as the retail, automotive, and toy sectors, as well as electrical, electronics, and ICT manufacturers.
As an RBA member, Ricoh will fully support the vision and mission of the nonprofit. RBA’s vision is to foster a “global electronics industry that creates sustainable value for workers, the environment, and business.” Its mission is to encourage “members, suppliers, and stakeholders” to collaborate to “improve working and environmental conditions through leading standards and practices.”
Ricoh will comply with the RBA Code of Conduct in its business activities to ensure supply chains and work environments are safe, workers get treated with respect, and the manufacturing processes are responsible for their environmental footprint. Additionally, Ricoh commits to adopting and implementing the RBA approach.
