Featured Project: Not Just Any Project for Palram Americas

Palram manufactured the polycarbonate sheeting that go over the illuminated, engraved plates with the names of the 2,983 Americans who died on 9/11.

Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania-based Palram Americas, makers of polycarbonates and PVC products for use in the variety of industries, including sign and graphic display, announces that it had the honor recently to participate in the first major refurbishment of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York City, the first major refurbishment since the memorial opened in 2011 and the museum in 2014.

Palram Americas and San Diego-based ePlastics/Ridout Plastics, a distribution partner of Palram’s, teamed up to contribute all of the replacement polycarbonate sheets for the illuminated plates that enhance the 2,983 engraved names of the victims.

“We’re proud, honored and grateful that our companies are in a position to help refurbish the memorial,” Palram says in a statement. “It’s a moving tribute to those who perished in the attacks on the World Trade Center Towers.”
