Almo Professional A/V Hires Business Development Manager
The move appears to have been prompted by LED display maker Absen naming Almo as its largest national distributor in June.
Maryland-based Almo Professional A/V, a distributor of professional audio and digital signage equipment, announces the hiring of 20-year industry veteran Adam Coleman as its new business development manager specializing in the technical and installation aspects of dvLED displays.
In his new role, Coleman will be charge of providing technical and installation consulting for Absen America dvLED products and Canon projector lines. Almo had announced in June that it was been chosen as the largest national distributor for China-based LED display screen maker Absen, which has its U.S. headquarters in Orlando, Florida.
Coleman comes to Almo with 20 years experience, including owning SilverCell LLC and serving as a consultant to the industry. He’s also served in technical, service, training and engineering roles at Prysm Inc., Kaybus Inc., Barco and Christie Digital.
“Without a doubt, dvLED technology continues to proliferate in the AV industry, especially as the products become more accessible, affordable and easier to integrate,” says Brian Rhatigan, director of business development for Almo. “Adam’s deep knowledge of dvLED technology-which stems both from his role as a training consultant for Absen and his installation experience of dvLED systems-gives our reseller and integrator partners a true advantage as they now have a trusted resource who understands the nuances of the technology and will benefit from his expertise as dvLED continues to become more mainstream.”
