Ennis to Acquire The Flesh Co. and its Subsidiary, Impressions Direct
This is only the latest in a series of strategic acquisitions by Ennis Inc.
Midlothian, Texas-based print house Ennis Inc. announces plans to buy all the outstanding stock of the Fenton, Missouri-based Flesh Co., a printer founded in 1913, and its subsidiary, Impressions Direct.
The Flesh Co. has two locations: Fenton-near St. Louis-which has its corporate offices and direct mail operations, and in Parsons, Kansas, where it has its main manufacturing facility and warehouse.
The Flesh Co. had just over $31 million in sales for the 12-month period that ended Sept. 30, 2018.
According to Keith Walters, chairman, president and CEO of Ennis, The Flesh Co. will continue to operate under that name and that of its related brand names.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to combine the Flesh organization with the other operations of Ennis,” says Walters. “The Flesh Co. is truly regarded as one of the outstanding companies in the print industry with a heritage that dates back for more than 100 years. They provide business forms, checks, direct mail services, integrated products and labels. The addition of direct mail will continue to add to the capabilities we added with the recent acquisitions of Wright Business Graphics on the West Coast and Integrated Print Graphics in Chicago as well as expanding our integrated products and label capabilities.”
