Featured Project: Michigan Trucking Company Taps Mvix Digital Signage
The flexibility of the Mvix digital signage software allows D&K to fulfill the goals it had when it installed the network, the trucking company says.
The digital signage network displays event listings, sales promotions, reminders, monthly flyers and safety tips to improve employee and customer communications.
Sterling, Virginia-based Mvix, makers of digital signage, video walls and interactive displays, announces the implementation of a digital signage network at D&K Truck Co., a White Freightliner dealership in Lansing, Michigan.
The employee-owned truck company, which was founded in 1948, says it wanted to update its traditional static fliers, messages and ads, and incorporate digital signage into both their marketing strategy and internal employee communications. The goal, it says, was to improve the overall health of the business both externally and internally.
The network the company had installed is powered by Chromebox computers and managed on the Mvix digital signage software.
Chromebox is owned by Taiwan’s Asus.
Five Chromebox media players, powering five networked displays, were placed throughout D&K. Mvix’s digital signage software powered each of the players, allowing the company to display specific content targeted towards improving customer satisfaction and employee communication. The digital signage displays were strategically placed in the lobby, conference room, service department, parts department, and the president’s office.
According to Mvix, its software allows unlimited users to program the software and change the content as needed; admins can access the software from anywhere; and the company can schedule event listings, sales promotions, reminders, and monthly flyers ahead of time, customizing the screens to show different content for different times of the day and different days of the week.
“I have had customers call the dealership just to ask about the digital signage and how they can get the product for their business,” says Nikki Meyers, continuous improvement coordinator at D&K.
