Giving Back: Robotics World Championships Draws Hundreds of Teams to Detroit
The Oak Creek (Wisconsin) High School robotics team is supported by Zünd and Avery Dennison.
Zünd America, the Franklin, Wisconsin-based U.S. division of the Swiss manufacturer of digital table cutting equipment and supplies, recently congratulated on social media the achievements of the Oak Creek (Wisconsin) High School’s Round Table Robotics as it joined more than 400 high school robotics teams from around the world at the annual 2019 FIRST World Championships in Detroit.
Oak Creek is located just a few miles away from Zünd’s facility in Franklin.
The company noted that after the four-day competition was completed, the Oak Creek Robotics team received the Entrepreneurship Award, one of one three teams out of 400 to receive that award.
That award, according to Zünd’s post, “recognizes teams who embrace the entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrate the critical planning and business skills necessary to ensure a self-sustaining program. Way to go RTR!”
Zünd is a sponsor of the Round Table Robotics team, as is Mentor, Ohio-based Avery Dennison.
