Walter Horsting's varied background includes all types of digital signage and digital display installations.
Washington D.C.-based Sensory Interactive, which specializes in experiential digital platforms that may include LED walls, billboards and interactive kiosks, announces the hiring of Walter Horsting has joined the company as senior growth manager.
His new company says Horsting will work with organizations around the world to help them find ways to leverage Sensory Interactive’s extensive market knowledge and comprehensive mix of services to create promotional platforms that generate revenue and engage audiences.
“With decades of experience in the planning and launch of audio-visual systems for high-profile projects around the world, Walter is uniquely qualified to address the needs of complex, large-scale engagements,” Sensory Interactive says in the statement announcing Horsting’s hire. “His background includes digital signage programs, communications systems, multimedia elements, and live-event technology, on project types ranging from casinos and performance venues to stadiums, theme parks, and corporate facilities.”
Before joining Sensory Interactive, Horsting was most recently a “global evangelist” for TruClear Global and has led his own business development consultancy since 2013. He previously served as the director of national business development for CompView-which was acquired by Diversified in 2017-and as the vice president of business development for SPL Integrated Solutions (now AVI-SPL).
As a participant in the American Institute of Architects’ CES program, Horsting has instructed more than 2,500 architects on topics related to audio-visual systems, multimedia technology, and acoustics, his new company says.
A bit of trivia: Sensory Interactive says Horsting began his career as an owner of a business producing sound for live events, handling more than 3,000 concerts for artists including the Police, Fleetwood Mac, Van Halen, and Neil Young.
