EFI Partners with Germany’s Bürkle to Commercialize its Wood Decorating Systems
EFI sees potential in the wood market in flooring, wall cladding, furniture, countertops, facades, outdoor paving and roofing materials, among other applications.
Fremont, California-based large-format printer manufacturer EFI announces that it is partnering with a global pressing and surface finishing technology leader, Germany-based Robert Bürkle GmbH, to commercialize the EFI ecosystem of decoration solutions in the wood industry, which includes its new single-pass EFI Cubik inkjet printers, EFI inks, and EFI Fiery design, processing and color management systems.

EFI and Bürkle say they will work together in developing product roadmaps for new segments with the shared goal of integrating benefits and advantages of digitizing wood and other building material industries. Through this new partnership, Bürkle and EFI will work cooperatively to deliver complementary market offerings for the wood market.
EFI says its Cubik industrial printers, ink technologies and Fiery DFE and workflow software offerings provide solutions for a wide range of applications and materials, including flooring, wall cladding, furniture, countertops, shower plates, facades, outdoor paving and roofing materials.
