Gemini Receives Local ‘Best Place to Work’ Award
Gemini has several noteworthy programs that aren't typical at a lot of companies.
Cannon Falls, Minnesota-based Gemini, manufacturers of dimensional letters, logos and plaques, has been recognized with a Workforce Development Board of Southeast Minnesota as a “2019 Best Place to Work in Southeast MN” award.
Among the reasons cited by the Workforce Development Board were:
- The company has never had a layoff in its 50-plus year history
- The company offers its employees profit sharing, plus exclusive use of a company-owned resort in Hayward, Wisconsin, which includes amenities such as cabins, a lodge, boats, bikes and snowmobiles
- It offers a tuition reimbursement program that provides an annual benefit of $7,500 to participants
- A scholarship program that offers the children of employees the potential to earn a scholarship of $2,000 to $4,000 annually
“Our people deserve the recognition for this honor,” says Phil Jacobson, vice president of human resources at Gemini. “Gemini’s selection is a direct result of our peoples’ commitment to our shared values and vision. We firmly believe the investment in our people pays off with positive results in customer service, quality, safety and profitability.”
