Mactac Announces Association with Canon Solutions America

Canon says its customers using the Colorado 1640 were increasingly asking for more media options to choose from.

mactac_canonMactac, a Stow, Ohio-based manufacturer of pressure sensitive films, announces a new association with Melville, New York-based Canon Solutions America, a wholly-owned subsidiary and the sales arm of Tokyo-based Canon.

The companies say that recently, because of Canon’s customers’ increasingly demanding more vendor options of roll-to-roll self-adhesive vinyl materials, they have been working together to build an approved, high-performance line of products for use on the Océ brand Colorado 1640 printer.

Thorough testing has been completed, and the companies say the association has resulted in a comprehensive offering of pressure-sensitive graphic materials for wall, window and floor applications, as well as a selection of overlaminates.

“The Canon Solutions America team tested numerous Mactac material samples on the Océ Colorado 1640 printer at their Customer Experience Center and the print quality results were exceptional,” says Dave Browske, senior marketing director for Mactac Graphic Products. “We are thrilled to have this great association with Canon to continue to help advance the graphics industry and offer customers peace of mind when using this printer and our approved media.”

“We are excited that we have found an associate in Mactac that has provided a wide range of materials for approval for use on the Océ Colorado 1640,” says Bob Honn, senior director of marketing for Canon Solutions America. “From indoor and outdoor walls to floors, these products will help wide-format Colorado users grow their pressure-sensitive business in the areas of labels, floor, window and wall graphics.”
