Emigsville, Pennsylvania-based Herculite, which makes Bantex Digital Media, vinyl-laminated fabric products, announces the death of Dan Dix, business manager for product development and innovation for Bantex Digital Media.

The company reported he passed away at his home in Des Plaines, Illinois.

Dix, 64, led product development and customer support for the Bantex brand for more than 15 years.

“Dan played a central role in the creation and growth of the Bantex Digital Media product line, helping to elevate the quality and value of vinyl banners and signs throughout the industry,” says Craig Zola, vice president of marketing and distribution with Herculite Inc. “Dan generously shared his knowledge and his time with colleagues at Herculite and with Bantex distributors and sign shops nationwide. We will miss his expertise, his passion for innovation and service and his warm friendship.”

Dix was born in Illinois and grew up on his family’s farm in Baraboo, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Dix is survived by his daughter, Morgan Dix, three siblings, and his companion, Jane (Gia) Folmer of Des Plaines. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA).
