Mimaki USA Announces Partnership with Gravograph
Mimaki says its initial rollout of Gravotech products will be somewhat limited in scope.
Suwanee, Georgia-based Mimaki USA, makers of wide-format inkjet printers and cutters, announces a strategic partnership with Duluth, Georgia-based Gravograph, a part of the Gravotech Group.
The partnership enables Mimaki USA to distribute Gravotech’s full line of products, including software, consumables, and machinery, throughout the U.S. However, Mimaki is only rolling out certain products at this time.
The partnership will integrate complementary Gravograph laser, rotary engraving, and materials solutions to Mimaki’s portfolio of printing systems. “Mimaki and Gravotech engineers have teamed together to seamlessly drive the Gravograph lasers through the Mimaki FineCut operating software to enhance their customers’ print and cut productivity,” says Dan Schimelman, general manager, North America for the Gravotech Group.
The goal for the partnership is to enhance workflows, add to the strengths of individual processes, and ensure customers can continue to create high-quality products with ease, according to Michael Maxwell, senior manager at Mimaki USA. “From large industrial companies, sign shops, retail stores, and more, our mutual customers develop products that can benefit from both offerings,” said Maxwell.
Mimaki plans to offer several new bundles with its UJF Series printers alongside various Gravograph products for printing, cutting, and engraving, which will include producing ADA compliant signage. Bundles will be available from authorized Mimaki dealers starting immediately.
