The Alexandria, Virginia-based International Digital Enterprise Alliance, better known as Idealliance, announces that for the second straight year, it teamed up with Fremont, California-based large-format printer manufacturer EFI to offer G7 Expert Training at its annual users conference, EFI Connect 2019, in January in Las Vegas.

The nonprofit says that 20 participants, including leading EFI partners, customers, and others from the graphic communications, print, and packaging supply chain, received hands-on experience implementing and managing G7 workflows utilizing the latest cutting edge print technology and systems. The 20 who earned certification now have the expertise to support their print supply chain and are considered leading experts in the field of color management and print production optimization, according to Idealliance.

This training event focused on EFI technology, including its print technology, software and systems.

G7 is Idealliance’s global industry-leading set of specifications for achieving gray balance and is the driving force for achieving visual similarity across all print processes. The G7 methodology is designed to align all print technologies for visual consistency, process and quality control, and color workflow management.

Idealliance has a full calendar of G7 training scheduled for around the globe in 2019. Registration is now available for training in Europe, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Asia-Pacific. View the upcoming calendar here.
